Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — including the special handling we give to anything you enter in our interactive vein-health tools, and where AI tools were used in building this site and its content.

1. Information we collect

We keep the data this site collects to a minimum. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

Information you provide directly

• Contact requests. If you email us (for example, at info@solvein.com) or request a practitioner briefing, we receive whatever you include in that message — typically your name, email address, and the content of your inquiry.
• Email address for tool results. Some of our free vein-health tools ask for an email address before showing your results, so we can send them to you and share occasional educational content. See Section 2 for exactly how this works.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, general (city/region-level) location inferred from your IP address, referring page, and the pages you view. We use this only in aggregate, to keep the site running and understand how it's used — not to build a profile of you.

2. Our interactive vein-health tools

This site offers free educational tools — including a visual vein checker, symptom checker, risk assessment, cost calculator, compression-stocking fit tool, treatment recovery calculator, and consultation summary builder. Because these tools ask about symptoms and health history, we've built them with the following commitments:

• Your answers stay on your device. The information you enter into these tools is processed locally in your browser to generate your result. As of the date of this policy, that information is not transmitted to or stored on SOLVEIN's servers.
• We ask you not to include identifying details. Several tools display a reminder not to enter your full legal name, date of birth, home address, medical record number, or insurance ID number — because none of that is needed to use the tool, and keeping it out reduces risk if you choose to share your results with anyone.
• The email step is separate from your health answers. If a tool asks for your email before showing results, that email is used to deliver your results and to send occasional vein-health educational content, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. As currently built, that email address is stored in your own browser's local storage (not a third-party mailing list) unless and until we connect a given tool to an email service provider — if we do, we will update this policy to reflect it.
• These tools are educational, not diagnostic. They do not create a doctor-patient relationship, do not diagnose any condition, and are not a substitute for a clinical evaluation. See Section 14.

If we ever change how a tool handles your answers — for example, by adding server-side storage to save your progress — we will update this section and the tool itself to say so clearly before that change takes effect.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Respond to inquiries and requests you send us;
• Deliver the results of tools you use and, where you've opted in, send related educational content;
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve this website;
• Understand aggregate usage patterns (for example, which pages or tools are most used) so we can make the site more useful;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use anything you enter into our health tools to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

As of the effective date of this policy, we do not use third-party advertising cookies or analytics trackers on this website. We do use a small amount of local browser storage for one functional purpose: remembering that you've already provided an email to a tool, so you're not asked again in the same browser. This stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie shared with advertisers.

If we introduce analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this section to describe them and, where required by law, provide a cookie-consent mechanism.

5. Third-party services

A few outside providers help us run this site. Visiting pages that use them may share limited technical data (like your IP address) with these providers, governed by their own privacy policies:

• Hosting and content delivery — our web hosting and content-delivery network serve the pages, images, and video on this site.
• Web fonts — we load typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when your browser requests a font file.
• Embedded video — where we feature outside interviews or press appearances, we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which only loads after you choose to press play, so nothing is sent to YouTube/Google simply by visiting the page.
• Script libraries — some interactive visuals on this site load supporting code from third-party script libraries.

These providers act on our behalf to deliver the site and do not use the data they process for their own advertising purposes, to our knowledge, beyond what's disclosed in their own policies.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances: with service providers who help us operate the site (as described in Section 5), if required by law or a valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of SOLVEIN or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we'll provide notice before information becomes subject to a different privacy policy).

7. Data retention

We keep contact-request emails and correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable business records. Health-tool answers, as explained in Section 2, generally aren't stored on our servers at all. Where an email address is stored locally in your browser to unlock tool results, it stays there until you clear your browser data or contact us to request its removal from any downstream list we may maintain.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by this site, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and minimizing what we collect in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, request correction or deletion, and opt out of the sale or "sharing" of personal information (we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising) or of certain automated processing. Where applicable — including under California's CCPA/CPRA, the EU/UK GDPR, and similar state and international privacy laws — you can exercise these rights by contacting us at info@solvein.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

If you're in the EU/UK, our legal basis for processing is typically your consent (for example, when you provide an email) or our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. State health-data privacy laws

Some U.S. states — including Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada, Connecticut, and elsewhere — give special protection to "consumer health data" collected outside traditional healthcare settings, even when that data isn't protected by HIPAA. Because our tools touch on symptoms and vein-health information, we want to be direct about this: to the extent any information you provide through this site qualifies as consumer health data under such a law, we do not sell it, do not share it for advertising, and will honor requests to access, withdraw consent for, or delete it to the extent we hold any, consistent with our practices described in Section 2. If your state's law requires a separate, specifically-labeled consumer health data privacy policy or a distinct consent mechanism, contact us and we will provide it.

Separately, SOLVEIN is not currently a HIPAA "covered entity" or "business associate" with respect to this marketing and educational website, because we do not provide treatment or process claims through this site. If that changes — for example, if a future version of a tool is offered in connection with clinical care — we will update this policy accordingly.

11. Children's privacy

This website is intended for adults and healthcare practitioners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International visitors

This site is operated from the United States, and information we collect is generally processed and stored in the United States. If you access this site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

13. AI use and content disclosure

In the interest of transparency: portions of this website — including aspects of its design, code, layout, and certain images, video, or written content — were created or assisted using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, as is increasingly common in modern web development and content production. AI-assisted material is reviewed by our team before publication. AI tools are not used to make medical, diagnostic, or treatment decisions about any visitor, and no information you enter into this site's interactive tools is used to train any AI model.

14. Medical and regulatory disclaimer

Nothing on this website — including its blog content, interactive tools, and any results they generate — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Using this site does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition. SOLVEIN is an investigational device and has not been cleared or approved by the FDA; it is not available for commercial sale or use outside of applicable investigational or regulatory pathways.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our tools evolve or as laws change. We'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we'll provide a more prominent notice on the site.
